That background means the strategies you'll learn aren't generic parenting tips — they're the same diagnostic thinking teachers use, translated into something you can run at home in twenty minutes after dinner.

Every session is judgement-free. The goal isn't to make you a teacher — it's to make you a confident, effective co-pilot for your child's learning, for this school year and every one after it.

EduBloom works with families directly and partners with pre-primary centres and primary schools to bring the same coaching to their parent communities.

Approach

What guides every session

Evidence over guesswork

Strategies are matched to a diagnosed gap, not applied generically.

Parent-first, not child-first

You are coached directly — the aim is your capability, not another hour of tutoring for your child.

Relationship-safe

Every technique is chosen to reduce homework conflict, not add to it.

A common question

"Do I need a tutor, or an educational consultant?"

It's one of the most common questions parents ask when they first notice their child is struggling — and it's worth getting clear on, because the two roles solve very different problems.

A tutor teaches a subject

A tutor's job is focused and practical: they sit with your child and work on a specific skill or subject — reading, maths, spelling, an upcoming test. They reinforce what's being taught at school, help with homework, and build practice and repetition around one area.

Tutors can be excellent at what they do, and many bring real subject expertise. But their role is generally to deliver content, not to investigate why a gap exists in the first place.

A master's-qualified consultant advises on the whole learning journey

An educational consultant looks at the bigger picture. Instead of starting with "what worksheet should we do tonight," a consultant asks:

  • Why is this gap showing up — is it a skill gap, a confidence gap, a pace-of-learning issue, or something else entirely?
  • What's happening across home, school, and your child's development that's contributing to it?
  • What does the evidence and research say actually works here — not just what worked for one other kid?
  • What's the right plan, and who's the right person to deliver it (which might include recommending a tutor)?

At EduBloom, this looks like working directly with you, the parent, as your child's academic ally — building your skills and confidence to support learning at home, drawing on a background across different curricula (ACARA, IB, Reggio Emilia, Montessori) and real classroom and international teaching experience.

In short: a tutor teaches a subject. A consultant helps you understand and lead your child's whole learning journey — and if tutoring is part of the right plan, that's something a consultant can help you find, too.
